Samed A.Ş. established in Samsun in the year 2003 as a joint venture
of three companies;
• Medi-Kim Tibbi ve Estetik Cihazlar Dis Ticaret ve Egitim Co., Ltd., Istanbul Turkey
• Ucler Egitim Hizmetleri Co., Ltd., Samsun Turkey
• Birmed Tibbi Cihazlar Co., Ltd., Samsun Turkey
to supply high end economic radiology equipments to Turkish market.
First Products Released To Market
In 2004 regarding to its foundation purpose, Samed signed an agreement with Korean x-ray generator manufacturer
POSKOM to supply high end high frequency x-ray generators.
With reasonable prices and high performance Poskom became
a very popular brand which the clients especially asked for in the Turkish market. As a next step Samed became the Turkish distributor of Europe’s biggest independent x-ray tube manufacturer
of IAE. Eventually, market found better options for selecting
tubes for their systems. Adding automatic processors of Chinese largest manufacturer Huqiu Imaging Technologies to its suppliers, Samed brought a new option with fair prices to the market.
First Radiology System Under Turay Brand
In 2005 Samed made an OEM agreement with Wandong,
the largest radiologic equipment manufacturer of China,
to supply radiologic equipments such as x-ray generators, radiography tables, tube stand, vertical bucky, etc. After the agreement, Samed started to release its highly flexible radiologic
systems with a broad range of optional components with different performance characteristics, under its brand “TURAY”.
Certification
In 2006 Samed applied for certification of it’s manage system with ISO9001:2000 and ISO13485:2003 quality management systems. Since then all Turay branded radiologic equipments bear CE mark.
First Generator with Turkish User Interface
2007 was the year for Samed to introduce a new x-ray generator
to Turkish market. Innomed, one of the leading x-ray generator
manufacturer in Europe, agreed to supply their high end very flexible 100kHz x-ray generator TOP-X 100 NR to Samed. It is also the first generator with a complete Turkish graphical user interface.
Digital Radiography
2008 is a new era for the Turkish radiology market. As the digital technology matures, clients started to ask for digital systems. Samed directed all its sources to adopt digital flat panel technology into Turay radiology systems. Currently, ater some R&D and training activities Samed will be launch its digital radiology systems soon.

Company Structure
Company headquarter is located in an industrial zone in Samsun and continues its activities in an office, a workshop, an R&D department and two ware houses.
Samed, have sales representative offices in İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Adana and Gaziantep.
Turkish government has a new policy for health sector. In a couple of years Turkey tSamsun selected as the pilot region according to this policy.
Even the fact that Samed located in Samsun, Samed can reach whole country even the farthest places by its subdealers and technical service centers.
Objectives
Samed is very close to release its first C-Arm under the “Turay” brand into the market. Thus the market will have an option to buy high end C-Arm with affordable prices. Samed also applied for getting manufacturing license from the Turkish Atomic Energy Foundation. After acquiring the license Samed will be the first and only radiologic equipment manufacturer in Turkey. On request of clients, Samed applied for to set up a calibration laboratory for radiologic equipments in its facility. This way Samed can supply accredited calibration services to its customers in a cost effective manner.

Awards
Samed A.Ş. won the first prize in t commerce section of the “Anadolu Markaları Yarışıyor” which held annually by a well regarded Turkish economy magazine “Economist”. The concept of the contest is “the importance of existence in the market with a brand”.
