Digital upgrade system

Dijitize digital upgrade applications include digitation of the entire system or replacement of preferred components. The purpose of the system to be put into digital media with the usage of high-tech equipment called Flat Panel Detector. Wide variety of flat panel technologies and a-Se, a-Si CCD and CMOS-based detectors are used.

Digital detectors differ wth their way of digital signalization of x-ray photons(direct/indirect) and pixel structures(aSe, aSi, CCD, CMOS). . Amorfous selenium (a-Se) and Amorfous Silicon (a-Si) based detectors have distinct quality superiority to the CCD & CMOS based detectors. CCD & CMOS have also short life and its only advantage is price. Under high-energy x-ray CCD & CMOS detectors are unusable in a short time they become unusable and cause an important investment to be wasted. After that renewal of digital X-ray systems are required.

a-Se and a-Si detector qualities almost same and only slightly changes depending on the manufacture approach. Only a-Se technology is a method that is relatively new and not proven. And production of high-noise problem remains an important issue to be solved for a-Se technology, which creates problems for use in the medical field and does not offer enough options. The biggest International medical electronics companies have worked a-Si detector technology which made it a more reliable and better known technology. Thus, a-Si based detectors have become the main choice of medical market all over the world.
